Livestock for sale

From September to December we supply small-sized certified organic pure Shetland and Shetland X Poll Dorset lambs for over-winter utility grazing. These are lambs that are too small on grading for autumn meat and are kept on for March lamb or as hoggets into the following summer.
 

Our lambs will happily graze through the winter with supplemental hay only in the very worst weather. Low weight and small hooves minimise poaching through the wet months whilst conditioning the sward for spring growth.
 

Small lambs supplied in the autumn will reach 30-40kg live-weight as hoggets by mid-May or can be grazed throughout the summer and will give very well sized and exceptionally tasty hoggets by the autumn.
 

Ideal for rotational grazing with suckler herds, for small holdings and for pony/horse paddocks.
